For a few brief opening moments, it looked like this one might be a contest.
But after a quick score that gave Danvers a 6-0 lead, the Pioneers needed only 73 seconds to match the touchdown, add Steve Ullian's extra point and retake the lead. They never looked back.
The offensive line of Andrew Kibarian, Craig Cataldo, Jonathan Roberto, Nick Burtman, John Gaff and D. J. Degeorge took control and spearheaded a bruising ground game that rolled over the Falcons for another rout, this one by a 40-18 count.
Jeff Gannon (2), Gino Cohee (1) and A. J. Roberto (1) all scored rushing touchdowns and Rick Berardino and Ullian caught TD passes.
The highlight of the day was Cohee's record breaking TD toss to Ullian in the third period that set a new Lynnfield school record for passing touchdowns at 24.
The Pioneers now stand at 5-0.
You can get all the details and photos in my game story in the Villager on Wednesday. Meanwhile, check back tomorrow night for some extra points on the big win.
