Comeback!

A very impressive win for the Pioneers today at the Lynnfield Middle School field.

Trailing 14-0 at halftime, the Pioneers exploded for three TD's in the second half to take a 21-14 win from a tough Pentucket team.

This one had everything: Goal line stand, 99 yard touchdown march and successful fake punt on the winning drive among others. Get all the details in my Villager game story on Wednesday.

Another big day for Mike Karavetsos who had running TD's of 30 and 35 yards and another touchdown bomb to Steve Yobaccio, this one for 50 yards which turned out to be the winning score.

Hard running from sophomore Kyle McGah,  outstanding all around performance from Alex Roper and stellar two way game from Andrew Kibarian led the way.

The biggest factor was a dominating two way performance from coach Gino Fodera's line. Tri-capt John Gaff and Jonathan Roberto, Kibarian, D. J. DeGeorge and Connor Lordan offensively and Kibarain, Roberto, DeGeorge and Zach Panzini on the defensive side. The Pentucket line was no match today.

Pioneers finished their non league schedule 3-3 and now prepare for their CAL/NEC 4 league opener against Ipswich next Friday night.

That's it for now. Check back Sunday night for my Leftovers post.
